The last few months have been a hard time for a small business shipping internationally, like Necrotic Gnome. The norms of being able to handle orders and send packages to customers worldwide were shattered overnight when the pandemic hit. Warehouses shut down, shipping routes were closed, and even those elements of the international shipping apparatus which were still functioning became exponentially slower and more expensive. I often get asked about Wormskin (the zine exploring the Dolmenwood setting, which Necrotic Gnome published from 2015 to 2018), especially regarding how it relates to the Dolmenwood hardcover books which are in development. A few questions are particularly common, so I thought it was worth writing a quick blog post on the topic. As you may have noticed, we've made quite a few announcements over the last few months about companies around the world whom we've partnered with to publish Old-School Essentials in various languages. Despite the recent chaos with international shipping, I'm happy to report that we've managed to submit the Old-School Essentials Black Box to this year's ENnies awards! You can view the current list of submissions here. Voting doesn't begin until some time in the summer (not sure of the exact date yet), but get your voting finger primed to vote old-school! Let's see if we can go one up on "critically acclaimed" and get to call Old-School Essentials an "award winning" game! More updates coming once we know more about the exact schedule of voting.

As you may have noticed, we've been unable to ship any physical products since late March as the company which handles our warehousing and order fulfillment had to temporarily suspend their operations in order to protect the health of their staff. The good news today is that operations in the warehouse are resuming slowly, handling orders to countries with reliable shipping routes.
